Frustrated.\u00a0 Angry.\u00a0 Bitter.\u00a0 Resentful.\u00a0 Hopeless.<\/p>\n

These were the words that defined my first experiences with online dating back in 2007.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Granted, I was never exactly Mr. Confident growing up.\u00a0 With a nose that was way too big for my face, ears that stuck out like dumbo, and a childhood filled with bullying, I was lucky if I could work up the courage to even talk to a woman for much of my life.\u00a0 Not to mention, I was incredibly shy.<\/p>\n

But no matter how hopeless I felt with women or how insecure I was around strangers, it took online dating to make me feel like the biggest failure of my entire life.<\/p>\n

During my first 3 months of online dating back in 2007 I literally send out hundreds of messages.\u00a0 With each day that went by without a response, my heart would beat just a little bit faster each time I checked my inbox.<\/p>\n

Every time I logged on to an empty inbox it felt like a direct punch to the stomach.\u00a0 Only I wasn\u2019t some prize fighter built to take a beating.\u00a0 My mental state was fragile as it was.\u00a0 With each day that passed, I fell into a deeper and deeper depression.<\/p>\n

Days turned into weeks.\u00a0 Weeks turned into months.\u00a0\u00a0 Nothing.\u00a0 Zero responses.\u00a0 Zero dates.\u00a0 Zero physical contact.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I wasn\u2019t just being rejected.\u00a0 Rejection would have been nice.\u00a0 It would have at least been some form of acknowledgment that I existed.\u00a0 This was even worse.\u00a0 Women didn\u2019t even take the time out of their day to reject me.\u00a0 I was completely invisible.<\/p>\n

How was this even possible?\u00a0 I knew I wasn\u2019t some type of six pack, carved up GQ model – but holy shit this was brutal.\u00a0 This couldn\u2019t be happening.<\/p>\n

I even started lowering my standards and messaging completely undesirable women just to get a self esteem boost.\u00a0 I needed to prove for my own sanity that somebody wanted me.\u00a0\u00a0 Anybody.\u00a0 But even the bottom of the barrel women wouldn\u2019t give me the time of day!\u00a0 Talk about crushing.<\/p>\n

I was literally paying an online dating site to have my entire sense of self-worth systematically destroyed.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
When I tell you that I was emotionally crippled from this experience, I was emotionally crippled from online dating in every possible way. I went into a deep depression.\u00a0 I stopped hanging out with friends.\u00a0 I gave up trying to meet women.\u00a0 I became convinced that there was something wrong with me and that I would be alone forever.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If I couldn\u2019t even meet someone on a dating site where women were literally paying to meet a nice guy, what hope did I have of ever meeting someone?\u00a0 I was done.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Fuck all these stuck up bitches.\u00a0 All they care about is looks and money.\u00a0 I don\u2019t need anyone but myself.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At least that\u2019s how I felt at the time.\u00a0 But who was I kidding?\u00a0 I was lonely as hell and bitter every time I saw a pretty face or a happy couple.\u00a0 After a few months of depression, I grew tired of feeling sorry for myself and I started to crave the affection of women again.<\/p>\n

I was just so tired of being alone while all my friends were enjoying happy relationships or fulfilling dating lives.\u00a0 At the end of the day, I guess the old saying is true\u2026 What doesn\u2019t kill you makes you stronger right?<\/p>\n

I know, I know.\u00a0 I hate corny bullshit mantras as well.\u00a0 Especially ones that are made even more popular by Kelly Clarkson.\u00a0 What doesn\u2019t kill you makes you stronger?\u00a0 I might as well start preaching you should get a tattoo that says \u201cEat. Pray. Love.\u201d<\/p>\n

But in this case, the whole \u201cwhat doesn\u2019t kill you makes you stronger\u201d thing applies, so indulge me if you will.\u00a0 After months of wallowing in my own self-pity, I eventually channeled all that pain, anger, and frustration into what would eventually change my relationship with online dating forever, along with the lives of thousands of men I\u2019ve worked with over the years.<\/p>\n

\u201cHELL FUCKING YEA!!!\u00a0 Let\u2019s do this Edgar and cripple those Today Show, Al Roker loving sissies in the ratings!!!!\u00a0 I mean ummm\u2026 Yea\u2026 I guess that would be cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Okay, maybe that\u2019s not exactly how it went down.\u00a0 The real conversation was a series of boring exchanges that eventually resulted in Good Morning America asking me to film a segment for their show.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But as the limo driver they sent to pick me up pulled in my direction, the weight of the moment began to sink in.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
7 years ago I couldn\u2019t even get a single woman to talk to me online.\u00a0 And now here I am, being picked up in a limo by America\u2019s number 1 morning show to shoot a segment that will be watched by millions of people the next morning.\u00a0 Was this really happening?<\/p>\n

Everywhere I went Producers, news anchors, and people in the crew were asking me about online dating and how I\u2019ve become so successful at helping people.\u00a0 They even rented out an entire bar in Midtown for me to film the segment!<\/p>\n

News anchors were asking random women in the city if they\u2019d date a guy like me if they saw my profile online.\u00a0 ME!\u00a0 The same guy from 2007 that was completely invisible.\u00a0 The online dating ghost of 2007.<\/p>\n

\u201cYea, I\u2019d go out with him for sure. He seems like a lot of fun,\u201d one of the beautiful blondes said to the reporter at the bar.<\/p>\n

It was completely surreal.\u00a0 Like some type of bad movie.\u00a0 Only this was real.\u00a0 Over the past 7 years, I had went from online dating reject, to the online dating version of \u201cHitch.\u201d<\/p>\n

From there things only got crazier.\u00a0 The next day Australia\u2019s number one morning show calls me up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw you on Good Morning America and would love to do a segment on you.\u00a0 Is there any chance you could film live from our New York Studio tomorrow?\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The next thing I know, I\u2019m on my 2nd show in two days with a segment referring to me as, \u201cThe World\u2019s Best Online Dater.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Me, the same insecure and emotional mess who was arguably the world\u2019s worst online dater on the planet, is now being referred to on television as the best online dater in the world!<\/p>\n

The same goofball that never stops making stupid jokes and is a huge closet geek is now the world\u2019s top online dating guru?\u00a0\u00a0 I mean granted, at this point I had now been helping men all over the world since 2009, but considering where I started from, this was surreal!<\/p>\n

If I could conquer online dating, I could do anything.\u00a0 Online dating had become symbolic of every thing in my life that ever kicked my ass or made me feel inadequate.<\/p>\n

Online dating represented every girl who I never had the courage to talk to.\u00a0 Every insecurity I ever felt in my life.\u00a0 Every fear that I was too much of a coward to tackle.\u00a0 Every excuse I ever made.\u00a0 Every thing I\u2019ve ever given up on.\u00a0 I was going to figure out how to succeed at online dating if it killed me.<\/p>\n

Online Dater\u00a0<\/strong>& Why You Need<\/u> To Read This <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Frustrated.\u00a0 Angry.\u00a0 Bitter.\u00a0 Resentful.\u00a0 Hopeless.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n These were the words that defined my first experiences with online dating back in 2007.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Granted, I was never exactly Mr. Confident growing up.\u00a0 With a nose that was way too big for my face, ears that stuck out like dumbo, and a childhood filled with bullying, I was lucky if I could work up the courage to even talk to a woman for much of my life.\u00a0 Not to mention, I was incredibly shy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But no matter how hopeless I felt with women or how insecure I was around strangers, it took online dating to make me feel like the biggest failure of my entire life.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n During my first 3 months of online dating back in 2007 I literally send out hundreds of messages.\u00a0 With each day that went by without a response, my heart would beat just a little bit faster each time I checked my inbox.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Every time I logged on to an empty inbox it felt like a direct punch to the stomach.\u00a0 Only I wasn\u2019t some prize fighter built to take a beating.\u00a0 My mental state was fragile as it was.\u00a0 With each day that passed, I fell into a deeper and deeper depression.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Days turned into weeks.\u00a0 Weeks turned into months.\u00a0\u00a0 Nothing.\u00a0 Zero responses.\u00a0 Zero dates.\u00a0 Zero physical contact.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I wasn\u2019t just being rejected.\u00a0 Rejection would have been nice.\u00a0 It would have at least been some form of acknowledgment that I existed.\u00a0 This was even worse.\u00a0 Women didn\u2019t even take the time out of their day to reject me.\u00a0 I was completely invisible.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How was this even possible?\u00a0 I knew I wasn\u2019t some type of six pack, carved up GQ model – but holy shit this was brutal.\u00a0 This couldn\u2019t be happening.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I even started lowering my standards and messaging completely undesirable women just to get a self esteem boost.\u00a0 I needed to prove for my own sanity that somebody wanted me.\u00a0\u00a0 Anybody.\u00a0 But even the bottom of the barrel women wouldn\u2019t give me the time of day!\u00a0 Talk about crushing.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I was literally paying an online dating site to have my entire sense of self-worth systematically destroyed.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n When I tell you that I was emotionally crippled from this experience, I was emotionally crippled from online dating in every possible way. I went into a deep depression.\u00a0 I stopped hanging out with friends.\u00a0 I gave up trying to meet women.\u00a0 I became convinced that there was something wrong with me and that I would be alone forever.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If I couldn\u2019t even meet someone on a dating site where women were literally paying to meet a nice guy, what hope did I have of ever meeting someone?\u00a0 I was done.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fuck all these stuck up bitches.\u00a0 All they care about is looks and money.\u00a0 I don\u2019t need anyone but myself.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At least that\u2019s how I felt at the time.\u00a0 But who was I kidding?\u00a0 I was lonely as hell and bitter every time I saw a pretty face or a happy couple.\u00a0 After a few months of depression, I grew tired of feeling sorry for myself and I started to crave the affection of women again.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I was just so tired of being alone while all my friends were enjoying happy relationships or fulfilling dating lives.\u00a0 At the end of the day, I guess the old saying is true\u2026 What doesn\u2019t kill you makes you stronger right?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I know, I know.\u00a0 I hate corny bullshit mantras as well.\u00a0 Especially ones that are made even more popular by Kelly Clarkson.\u00a0 What doesn\u2019t kill you makes you stronger?\u00a0 I might as well start preaching you should get a tattoo that says \u201cEat. Pray. Love.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But in this case, the whole \u201cwhat doesn\u2019t kill you makes you stronger\u201d thing applies, so indulge me if you will.\u00a0 After months of wallowing in my own self-pity, I eventually channeled all that pain, anger, and frustration into what would eventually change my relationship with online dating forever, along with the lives of thousands of men I\u2019ve worked with over the years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [vc_separator type=’normal’ position=’center’ color=’#000000′ thickness=’1′ up=” down=”]<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fast forward 7 years later to the year 2014.\u2026\u00a0 Good Morning America is on the phone\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHi this is Edgar, a Producer over at GMA\u2026\u00a0 We are looking to film a segment about online dating that will air tomorrow morning and were wondering if you were free to shoot tonight?\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Was this guy for real?\u00a0 Just play it cool Joshua.\u00a0 Don\u2019t let him know how excited you are.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHELL FUCKING YEA!!!\u00a0 Let\u2019s do this Edgar and cripple those Today Show, Al Roker loving sissies in the ratings!!!!\u00a0 I mean ummm\u2026 Yea\u2026 I guess that would be cool.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Okay, maybe that\u2019s not exactly how it went down.\u00a0 The real conversation was a series of boring exchanges that eventually resulted in Good Morning America asking me to film a segment for their show.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But as the limo driver they sent to pick me up pulled in my direction, the weight of the moment began to sink in.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 7 years ago I couldn\u2019t even get a single woman to talk to me online.\u00a0 And now here I am, being picked up in a limo by America\u2019s number 1 morning show to shoot a segment that will be watched by millions of people the next morning.\u00a0 Was this really happening?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Everywhere I went Producers, news anchors, and people in the crew were asking me about online dating and how I\u2019ve become so successful at helping people.\u00a0 They even rented out an entire bar in Midtown for me to film the segment!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n News anchors were asking random women in the city if they\u2019d date a guy like me if they saw my profile online.\u00a0 ME!\u00a0 The same guy from 2007 that was completely invisible.\u00a0 The online dating ghost of 2007.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cYea, I\u2019d go out with him for sure. He seems like a lot of fun,\u201d one of the beautiful blondes said to the reporter at the bar.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It was completely surreal.\u00a0 Like some type of bad movie.\u00a0 Only this was real.\u00a0 Over the past 7 years, I had went from online dating reject, to the online dating version of \u201cHitch.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n From there things only got crazier.\u00a0 The next day Australia\u2019s number one morning show calls me up.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe saw you on Good Morning America and would love to do a segment on you.\u00a0 Is there any chance you could film live from our New York Studio tomorrow?\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The next thing I know, I\u2019m on my 2nd show in two days with a segment referring to me as, \u201cThe World\u2019s Best Online Dater.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Me, the same insecure and emotional mess who was arguably the world\u2019s worst online dater on the planet, is now being referred to on television as the best online dater in the world!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The same goofball that never stops making stupid jokes and is a huge closet geek is now the world\u2019s top online dating guru?\u00a0\u00a0 I mean granted, at this point I had
