Okay, maybe I’m a little bit biased. \u00a0But I sure like to think that I was in possession of the best online dating profile ever made (prior to meeting my wife online!).<\/p>\n

And while my profile may not have actually been the BEST in the world, it sure got me dates with more beautiful women than I ever dreamed possible.<\/p>\n

Because whether you love him or hate him, this is a man who has always signaled tremendous ambition and a goal-oriented mindset.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Having ambition is a quality that women are instinctively attracted to. This can be attributed to evolutionary programming that goes back centuries.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n However, the key to properly showcasing ambition in your profile is to do so in a subtle manner. Nobody likes a braggart.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n There are multiple ways you could approach this. Profile writing needs to be easy on the eyes\u2026<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n See how this post is written? None of the paragraphs are more than 3 lines long. This is because if my paragraphs were longer, you would probably stop reading.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Just look at the profile below as an example.\u00a0 Would you stop and read this? Probably not. It\u2019s too visually intimidating and feels like homework.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=””][vc_column][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text]Confidence is arguably the most important quality a man can have. No beautiful woman is going to think you are worthy of her if you don\u2019t even feel like you are worthy of yourself.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n The words you choose in your profile, along with how you phrase them are going to reveal just how much confidence you have. Take a look at the ending to my former profile in the screenshot below.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n You\u2019d be amazed at how many women would throw me their number in the first message after reading my profile.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Think about how different my confidence would come across if I wrote:<\/strong><\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n “I\u2019m looking to find a nice girl to connect with. If you have any interest in what I wrote, I\u2019m a really nice guy just looking for a best friend and would love the chance to meet you.”<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This shows zero confidence, is extremely beta, and would cripple my results.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Some other common words and phrases you will want to avoid are:<\/strong><\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Confidence is also reflected in how comfortable you appear to be with yourself in your writing.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Go back to some of the screenshots I posted earlier in this post and you\u2019ll notice that there is an ease to everything I write.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1493991383585{border-radius: 1px !important;}”][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n When you write your profile, never focus on anything negative. Only focus on sending out positive vibes.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n For example, I would never write, \u201cIf you smoke, don\u2019t have a job, and are all about material things, don\u2019t message me.\u201d<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This is true, but I would never write it. Instead I would just express what I want in a positive way.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n A better way to write this would be, \u201cI get along best with women who are active, have goals, and get excited about creating new experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Always write in a manner that demonstrates what you do want as opposed to what you don’t want. Positive writing attracts positive attention. Negative writing attracts NO attention.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text]Attentions spans are short, so every word needs to have a purpose.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Listing what you want in a partner is a waste of space.\u00a0 A great profile implicitly shows what you want in a partner by highlighting yourself properly.\u00a0 There’s no need to directly state it.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n For example, if I write that I love to ski, rock climb, spend time with family, and travel, women will understand that I want someone who is also active, family-oriented, and adventurous. \u00a0I am killing two birds with one stone without wasting any words.<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text]Having commonalities with someone is an easy way to spark interest.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n The more diversity you show, the more likely women will find things in your profile to connect with, and the more likely they will see the potential in dating you.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Try to reveal as many personality traits, hobbies, passions, goals, and ambitions as you can throughout the duration of your profile.<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n First off, it makes the profile feel more personal.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Can I ask you a question before I continue this article?<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Okay, I don\u2019t actually have a question. But for a split second did I was talking exclusively to you?<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This is the effect that asking direct questions can have. It psychologically creates a one on one experience, even if thousands of other online daters are reading the same question.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Asking questions in your profile will have the same impact. They will make women feel as if you are directly speaking to them, and thus, will sub-consciously create a stronger connection.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n In addition, asking questions can drastically increase the amount of women who start up conversations with you.<\/strong><\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n I like to refer to this as profile bait. Let\u2019s look at the example below, where I end with a question that encourages women to share a favorite restaurant or bar they’ve been to.<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css_animation=””][vc_column][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n His name was “Mystery” (cue laughter), and he was a famous pick up artist back in the day when women apparently fell hard for men who wore goggles on their heads.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n But as silly, cheesy, and disingenuous as some of the ideas behind \u201cpick up artists\u201d were, some of their teachings were insanely effective.\u00a0 They understood how the science of attraction works.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Through their teachings I learned that there are a whole variety of internal characteristics and personality traits that women are instinctively attracted to, that have absolutely nothing to do with a man’s physical appearance.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n I then took this knowledge, figured out how to improve it, and came up with endless ways to infuse these triggers of attraction into the online dating world.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n I didn\u2019t necessarily reinvent the wheel. I found valuable information, repurposed it, drastically improved it, and used it to my advantage.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n And those guys didn\u2019t reinvent the wheel either. Their teachings were derived from behavioral science and psychology. Attraction is a science.\u00a0 [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]Once you understand how to apply that science to your online dating profile, your results will go through the roof.<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n \u201cIf<\/strong> you are interested and want<\/strong> to talk, shoot me a message.\u201d<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This sentence communicates that I am the one chasing and signals that the woman has all the power.\u00a0 I might as well be saying, “let me know if you think I’m good enough.”<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n The best online dating profiles use words to signal that women are the ones that have to chase us.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Let\u2019s go back to an \u00a0actual example from my profile in order to exemplify this:<\/strong><\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n \u201cI do get kind of busy sometimes, but for those of you that my profile connects with, don\u2019t be shy. \u00a0Shoot me a message or drop me your number and let\u2019s see where things go.\u201d<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This tweak in language creates the appearance that I am in complete control of the situation. I\u2019m not asking women to message me \u201cif\u201d they are interested.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n I\u2019m confidently telling women that view my profile to go ahead and send me a message, or even better, to just give me their phone number, which resulted in endless women sending me their number in the first message due to all the attraction I had built up in my profile.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n What do you see when you look at the picture above, a beautiful woman, or a witch?<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This applies to sites and apps that allow a longer profile summary,<\/strong> but when I wrote my online dating profile for sites such as Match.com, I created them in a similar fashion. I allowed the reader to read my profile in 2 completely different ways.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Why? Because the 1st time women read your online dating profile, they usually just skim it for information.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Once you officially have their interest, that\u2019s when they go back and give it a much deeper read.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Therefore, a profile should be structured in a manner that allows it to be skimmed for information upon first reading, and read like a well-written short story upon second reading.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n How do you do this?<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n First divide your profile writing into several mini paragraphs of 2 to 3 sentences each.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Then give each paragraph a specific focus.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n A sample way to structure your profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Paragraph 1: A funny intro<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Paragraph 2: About your career<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Paragraph 3: Your outdoors hobbies<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Paragraph 4: Your passion for athletics<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Paragraph 5: Your indoor hobbies<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Paragraph 6: End with a humorous cliffhanger<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n There are endless ways you can structure your paragraphs. Above is just one possibility.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Once you have a structure,\u00a0think of each paragraph as a 2-3 sentence story and make them as entertaining as possible. You can incorporate all the tips from this article to assist you.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n As overwhelming as writing an online dating profile might seem on the surface, if you just tackle the process 2-3 sentences at a time with each category having a different focus, it really isn’t that bad.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This will allow for an easy skim, as well as a highly entertaining read in which each paragraph flows from one to the next.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n First, I show wit throughout the profile. This is a silent indicator of intelligence.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Secondly, I write with style and avoid any grammatical errors. This is important, as women do notice these things.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Poor grammar will cause women to judge our intelligence and how much effort you put into things in life.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n If your grammar is bad, you can always hire a professional profile writer<\/a> to write your profile, or at the minimum, have one edit it.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n If you can\u2019t afford our services there are plenty of hungry college students who you will gladly edit your profile for a few bucks. You can also try a site such as fiverr.com<\/a> to edit your profile\u00a0for 5 dollars.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n Finally, I communicate that I enjoy reading, writing, and display the University I graduated from.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n If you don\u2019t enjoy these things and didn\u2019t go to college, don\u2019t worry. There are countless people in that boat who are still highly intelligent.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n But if you are in this situation, make up for it by displaying interests that show you do enjoy learning and educating yourself on some level.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”20″][vc_column_text] [vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”10″ down=”10″]<\/p>\n This is because I would only have a photo that puts all the emphasis on my physical appearance.
