For example: \u00a0“If you are not looking for a serious relationship, under 5’7, and do drugs, please avoid this profile.”<\/p>\n

Of course these expectations are reasonable. \u00a0But this\u00a0creates a negative image,\u00a0comes across as negative, and shows potential baggage.<\/p>\n

You will never scare off the guys who you don’t want to message you by creating a list of deal-breakers in your profile, that comes with the territory of online dating, but negative lists may just ironically scare off the guys you do want.<\/p>\n

In the latter example, I’m not only being playful, but I am baiting the reader into answering the\u00a0question. \u00a0The same strategy can be used by adding unique pictures to your profile as\u00a0well. \u00a0Anything that actively attempts to ignite a response is profile bait.<\/p>\n

10. \u00a0Avoid all red flags<\/strong><\/h3>\n
