But one of the most common questions I am often asked is, \u00a0“What online site do you recommend I join?”<\/p>\n
Well first\u00a0and foremost, I’d like to preface this article with the advice<\/a> that\u00a0you never truly know what site love will find you on. \u00a0I’ve worked with many clients who wound up finding love on a site that was not all that promising from the onset.<\/p>\n But with that said,\u00a0 after a decade of working in this industry,\u00a0the following 3 sites would be my top recommendations.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=” up=’10’ down=’10’]<\/p>\n The pro’s: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Match.Com has the biggest advantage in terms of sheer numbers, ways to initiate contact, and overall features. \u00a0If you are looking to play the numbers game by going\u00a0on as many quality dates\u00a0as possible until you find that face to face chemistry, this site will bring you the highest possibility of success.<\/p>\n The cons: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Match.Com can sometimes be a victim of its own size. \u00a0The never-ending amount of options to choose from can sometimes promote a culture of serial dating that\u00a0creates the paradox of choice amongst its daters.<\/p>\n My overall recommendation: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Match.Com\u00a0reigns supreme as the best overall choice for a dating site.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=” up=’10’ down=’10’]<\/p>\n The Pro’s: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n OkCupid is free, has a question and answer\u00a0section that\u00a0provides a much better indication of someones personality than other sites, has a lot less “noise” than Match.Com in regards to how you can contact someone, and has\u00a0an extremely user friendly interface.<\/p>\n The Con’s: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n At the time of this publication,\u00a0if you are over 40 you will not find nearly as many quality matches as Match.Com or Eharmony. \u00a0In addition,\u00a0free sites are often filled with players or members who don’t take the process as seriously as paying sites.<\/p>\n Overall Recommendation: \u00a0Match.Com is my first choice for women 35 and under. \u00a0For women over 35 it reigns second to match.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=” up=’10’ down=’10’]<\/p>\n The Pros: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n A more extensive matchmaking algorithm, a pre-packaged\u00a0messaging format, and a feature that only allows you to contact members\u00a0that EHarmony considers you to be a match with.<\/p>\n The Cons: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n A limited ability to message who you’d like to message, a very time consuming sign up process, and the platform does not feel nearly as user friendly as Match and OkCupid. \u00a0In addition, common feedback from clients of mine has always been that there aren’t all that many attractive people in comparison to other sites.<\/p>\n Overall Recommendation: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n I tell all my clients the same thing. \u00a04 out of 5 people I speak to seem to hate this site with a passion. \u00a0Yet, for every 4 people\u00a0I meet that hate Eharmony<\/a>, I seem to meet 1 person who found the love of their life. \u00a0And for that reason, I still keep it in the top 3 recommendations, but buyer beware.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=” up=’10’ down=’10’]<\/p>\n My recommendation would be\u00a0to always sign up for 1\u00a0free site and 1\u00a0paying site.<\/p>\n [vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=” up=’10’ down=’10’]<\/p>\n In most cases, no.
